The treatment works by injecting the skin booster into a specific area of the body. Hyaluronic acid is one of the main ingredients and this stimulates the growth of new collagen, resulting in plumper healthier looking skin.
The treatment consists of microinjections performed evenly across the whole face or area of concern so that the product is spread evenly into the skin. This creates small bumps which are visible and usually go down within 6-12 hours. The product will then spread into the tissues and begin working immediately with full results taking 2- 4 weeks.
Skin boosters are relatively pain free; however, you may feel a slight discomfort at the point of injection. Numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to minimise discomfort.
The downtime after Redensity 1 injections is minimal. Some individuals may experience mild superficial bruising, which typically resolves quickly. The eye area can be more susceptible to swelling / puffiness after this treatment and potentially could last upto 2 weeks in the worst cases so we advise you not to make big arrangements or attend important events within this time frame. Common side effects may include- pain at the point of injection, tenderness, mild swelling, lumps/bumps, but these usually subside within a few hours.
Less common side effects can include-inflammatory reactions, infection, loss of sensitivity around the injected area, risk of allergy and nodules.
